TwistyDrives is operated by ThinkCorp Pty Ltd, Sydney, NSW, Australia. By using the app you agree to these terms.

Drive safely, and lawfully

This is the part that matters more than the rest of this page put together.

TwistyDrives shows you roads that are interesting to drive. It is not an invitation to drive quickly, and nothing in it is a suggestion to exceed a speed limit or to drive in a way that is unsafe for the conditions.

• You are responsible for how you drive. Speed limits, road rules and the conditions in front of you always take precedence over anything the app shows.
• Do not use the app while driving. Set up your route before you set off. Using a phone in your hand while driving is illegal across Australia and in most places you might drive.
• Road information can be wrong or out of date. It is derived from OpenStreetMap and from other drivers. A road may be closed, unsealed, damaged, or unsuitable for your vehicle regardless of what we show.
• Drive within your and your vehicle's ability. A road rated as challenging is a description, not a dare.

Your account

You need an account to use most of the app. Keep control of the phone number or sign-in method attached to it — anyone who can receive your codes can reach your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access.

One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone else.

What you contribute

Routes, photos, drive logs, comments and anything else you add remain yours. By adding them you give us permission to store them and to show them to the people you have chosen to show them to — nothing more. We do not claim ownership of your content and we will not sell it.

Do not post content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you do not have the right to post.

Do not use the app to organise or promote illegal street racing, speed trials, or similar activity. We will remove content and close accounts that do.

Road data and attribution

Road geometry comes from OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database Licence. Where the app shows that data it credits them. Map imagery is provided by Mapbox under its own terms.

Availability

We will do our best to keep the app working, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. Features may change, and some may be withdrawn.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from within the app — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will tell you why.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded. Subject to that, TwistyDrives is provided as it is, and ThinkCorp Pty Ltd is not liable for loss arising from your use of it — including anything that happens on the road. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to resupplying the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Changes

If we change these terms we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
